Biophysics at Interfaces

Scientific phenomena which occur upon the interaction between biological matter as well as between biological matter and non-bio interfaces has been attracting experimentalists and theoreticians from several scientific fields such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The highly interdisciplinary research in this scientific field has improved our understanding in living matter and allowed the physical description of general phenomena in nature. Research in this area has advanced technologies ranging from material science to measurement techniques and theory.
Lecturers of the school will take participants on a tour ranging from introductory material to recent and novel concepts of frontline research. We expect participants with a strong interest in interdisciplinary research at the master's, doctoral, post-doctoral level and beyond to strongly benefit from the school.
