A transparent, new membership fee model from 2021
From 1 January 2021 a new modern and transparent contribution model will come into force for all DPG members. The amount of the membership fee depends on the type of membership and is based on the life and career path of the DPG members.
The current membership fee model for individual DPG members is not exactly known for its simple logic. This is hardly surprising, since this model has grown organically over many decades. Again and again new contribution groups have been added and fee limits have been shifted in order to do justice to the thoroughgoing change of the DPG and its members.
The council took this as an opportunity to suggest a fundamental revision of the structure of the existing membership fee model. A working group consisting of members of the council, the executive committee and the head office quickly came up with a systematic, up-to-date and transparent model. After extensive discussion, the new membership fee model was approved by the Board of Management at its meeting on 8 November 2019 in Bad Honnef and will come into force on 1 January 2021. The amount of the membership fee depends on the type of membership and is based on the life and career path of the DPG members.
A change of the self-chosen contribution group as well as the use of fee reductions can be made at any time via the new online service for members "My DPG" or as usual by e-mail, fax or by post via the DPG Membership Administration and Services.
