Moin and welcome to the Bremen Regional Group of the Junge Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft (jDPG)!

We bring together physics enthusiastic pupils, students and young researchers from Bremen and the surrounding region who are eager to exchange ideas about physics, discover new concepts together and become part of an open scientific community. Our goal is not only to discuss theory but also to experience physics collectively, for example through events organized in Bremen or through nationwide meetings of our physics community.

Since our founding in 2025, we see ourselves as a meeting point for everyone interested in physics. Through talks, excursions, discussions and regular gatherings we create opportunities for exchange and new perspectives. Our activities also include competitions, conversations with professors, networking opportunities and social projects such as tutoring for younger students.

Bremen offers ideal conditions for this. With institutions such as the German Aerospace Center, the Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity and the Bremen Drop Tower, the city provides unique places where modern research can be experienced directly. We aim to use this environment to bring people together, share enthusiasm for physics and encourage exchange across the entire spectrum of physics.
