Who are We?

We are the jDPG regional group Osnabrück, founded in may 2025 at the institute for physics of the university Osnabrück. As part of the young talent network of the german physical society we are aiming to reach young people, from school age to doctoral candidates, interestet in the region that are interested in physics.

What are we doing?

It is our goal to foster enthuisasm for physics, to enable an sxchange of information between similarly minded people and to lower the barrier to entry into science. To reach this goal we connect, we connect students and researchers early into theri career locally, regionally and all across germany.

A special concern to us is the connection between school and university through projects, events and direct exchanges. At the current time we are working on our first events and are excited to start our first formats in November.

You would like to meet us?
Then we would be happy for you to come to our open meetings every first tuesday in the calender month at 7 pm in the 'Backsteincafé' in Osnabrück.
