Member's Weekend 2026

📅 23–25 October 2026
📍 Physikzentrum, Bad Honnef

Registration deadline: 18 September!

All members of the Young German Physical Society (jDPG) are warmly invited to the jDPG Members' Weekend 2026!

This year, the jDPG celebrates its 20th anniversary. To mark the occasion, this year's Members' Weekend will feature a special anniversary programme at the DPG Physics Centre in Bad Honnef. Under the motto "jDPG20 – 20 Years of φ-versatility", we will celebrate the past two decades together.

What can you expect?
  • A full weekend with enthusiastic young physicists
  • Workshops
  • Anniversary programme
  • And, of course, the General Assembly

At the General Assembly, the Executive Board will report on its work over the past year, a new Executive Board will be elected, amendments to the Rules of Procedure and Election Regulations may be adopted, and much more.

Late Summer Networking Meeting in the Hanseatic City of Bremen

📅 28–30 August 2026
📍 University of Bremen & ZARM

From 28 to 30 August, the jDPG Bremen Regional Group invites you to this year's nationwide networking meeting in Bremen.

The weekend will focus on networking, workshops, and a thematic programme centred on astronomy, aviation, and space. One of the highlights is a guided tour of ZARM on the University of Bremen campus. You will also have the opportunity to meet experts, gain insights into current research, and, of course, enjoy plenty of time for shared meals, conversations, and networking in Bremen.

Places are limited, so early registration is recommended.

Kosmos Campus – STEM Teacher Education Week by jDPG and DLR

📅 13–18 September 2026
📍 Neustrelitz

Are you studying to become a STEM teacher and passionate about physics? Then Kosmos Campus, organised by the jDPG and the German Aerospace Center (DLR), is the perfect opportunity for you!

From 13–18 September 2026, you'll spend an exciting week in Neustrelitz filled with workshops, lectures, and hands-on experiments on geophysics, astrophysics, and climate physics, specially designed for student teachers.

Meet fellow students, explore the DLR site in Neustrelitz, and conclude the week with a visit to the Archenhold Observatory in Berlin.

Online Games Night

📅 6 August and 1 September 2026, 7:30 p.m.
📍 Zoom Room 1

You're warmly invited to two more jDPG Games Nights during our anniversary year.

On both evenings, you'll have the chance to play a variety of games, meet fellow members, and chat in a relaxed atmosphere. You'll also be able to ask any questions you may have about the RG Challenge.
