At the Einstein Slam, science gets ready for stage. Scientists prove, that they do not only know complicated experiments or abstract theories from inside out but can also present their research in an understandable and entertaining way with wit, charm and great creativity.

Opening:

  • Maik Gärner (Uni Bielefeld) with Spin-valves for magnetic memory devices

Contest:

  • Verena Brehm (TU Eindhoven, NL) about Computational Physics, Magnetism
  • Eloise Lardet (Imperial College London, UK) about Computational Physics on collective behaviour in active matter
  • Kuan Meng (Uni Stuttgart)  about Atom Probe Tomography of Liquids
  • Arooj Sajjad (Botanischer Garten der TU Darmstadt) about Biomechanics of movable joints in plants
  • Manuel Zahn (Uni Augsburg) about Atomic force microscopy

At the end, the applause of the audience decides which presentation was best. The winner takes the "Golden" Albert home.

The slam is held in English.
