The International Marangoni Association (IMA) is a non-profit organization devoted to the fostering of interfacial fluid mechanics and transport phenomena. While flows driven by the Marangoni effect represent an important class of systems, all aspects of interfacial transport are covered.
A main objective of IMA is the organization of scientific conferences. It is intended to expose young scientists to research themes and applications of interfacial fluid mechanics, to network among researchers from academia and industry, and to promote new collaborations. In the past, conferences have been organized at different places worldwide every two years. IMA is committed to the support of young scientists in the field.
