Description

With Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity entering its 100th year since its inception in 1915, we are organizing a workshop on one of its most profound predictions - gravitational waves. The detection of gravitational waves is expected to launch a new era in general relativity and astrophysics. The workshop focuses on

Gravitational Wave Astronomy - Methods, Sources, and Observation.

Topics include mathematical relativity, numerical relativity, source modeling, astrophysical sources, data analysis, and detector development. It marks the conclusion of the SFB/TR7, a collaborative research center of the German Research Foundation.

This workshop is open for all people interested in the field of gravitational waves. Registration and abstract submission are open until November 15th, 2014.
