Fellowships for early-career physicists - living or working in European countries (outside Germany) - to attend the DPG Spring Meetings 2027

Every year, the DPG organises its DPG Spring Meetings (DPG-Frühjahrstagungen) at different locations and universities in Germany. With around 10,000 physicists from Germany and abroad attending every year, the DPG Spring Meetings (DPG-Frühjahrstagungen) regularly rank among the largest physics congresses in Europe.

Thanks to the support of the Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Foundation DPG offers up to 210 fellowships for early career physicists who live or work in European countries (outside Germany) to participate in these conferences.

Fellowship

The fellowships are awarded as lump sum grants towards the costs incurred in attending the conference, as follows:

  • € 400.00 for conference participants from
countries bordering Germany directly (Belgium, Denmark, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland and Czech Republic)
  • € 600.00 for conference participants from
    all other European countries

Conference participation (Please note the opening times of the conference office!)

  1. Check-in: At the conference office, you will be receiving your "Conference ID Card" – which has your arrival date printed on it – along with your name badge. Please keep this safe!
