Research Agenda: Process development and realization of photonic integrated circuits on different platforms as well as deterministic integration of single-photon sources into optical and electrical devices.
Short Bio: I have started studying physics at the University of Stuttgart in 2008 where I graduated with a BSc degree in 2011 with a thesis about molecular dynamics simulation of laser ablation in metals in the group of Prof. Johannes Roth from the FMQ (formerly ITAP). I continued my studies in physics in Stuttgart and finished the master in the group of Michael Jetter at the IHFG with a thesis about site-controlled growth of semiconductor quantum dots in 2014. In 2019, I received the degree Dr. rer. nat. from the University of Stuttgart under supervision of Simone Portalupi and Prof. Peter Michler for performing research on deterministic fabrication of QD-based single-photon devices. Since 2020 I'm employed at Paderborn University in the group of Prof. Klaus Jöns as a group leader being responsible for process/fabrication development and all cleanroom activities.
