476th Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Seminar -
Diamond - spintronics, photonics, bio-applications

We are pleased to announce the 476th Wilhelm and Else Heraeus Seminar, to be held from April 4th to 7th, 2011, at the Physikzentrum Bad Honnef.
Rather than adding another conference to the ever increasing density of diamond events this
workshop will be special in two respects: Firstly, it will encompass all
areas of diamond defect applications ranging from biolabeling to quantum
spintronics. Secondly, conference talks by renowned experts will be
supplemented by extensive tutorial lectures. These tutorials will deal in
depth with technical topics, e.g. defect center quantum chemistry, spin
physics, material science and surface physics.
With this format we intend to provide a forum for exchange of ideas as well as a learning opportunity for students.
