Bad Honnef Physics Schools
Bad Honnef Physics Schools offer young researchers the possibility to deepen their knowledge and skills in advanced and cutting-edge topics in all areas of physics. The Schools address primarily PhD and Master students and they are open for international participation. The one-week Schools take place at the Physikzentrum Bad Honnef (PBH) and are intended for 60 to 90 participating students.
The Schools are generously supported by the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus-Stiftung.
For Students:The list of upcoming Bad Honnef Physics Schools can be found here.
For organizers: call for proposals/guidelines for applications
PBH is always accepting proposals for schools.
Before making any specific plans, the applicant should make a reservation of a time slot. This is done by contacting the Scientific Secretary at the PBH, Victor Gomer. Applications including title and short summary can be submitted any time and should be sent to Scientific Secretary at the PBH. The program must clearly show that it is devised as school for PhD and Master students and not as seminar or conference for postdocs or scientists. Please, follow the recommendations to Directors of Bad Honnef Physics Schools.
For schools in 2020, applications should be submitted by the end of March 2019.
For schools in 2021, applications should be submitted by the end of October 2019.
Later applications might still be considered if time slots are available.
School proposals are evaluated by the Scientific Advisory Board (Wissenschaftlicher Beirat) of PBH.
