Postdoctral positions: Modeling Living Systems
We invite outstanding young scientists to apply for post doctoral positions in theoretical biology/complex systems at the Center for Models of Life (CMOL), Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. Following the tradition of an open center atmosphere we are looking for self-motivated and inspiring colleges that can contribute with new ideas and collaborations. No prior experience in modeling biological systems is required, but we expect the candidate to seek enthusiastically new challenges in models of life. The successful candidates will also be expected to collaborate with students at various levels. Current activity includes: Models of transcription and translation dynamics, biological feedback, bi-stability, epigenetics, stress responses, DNA mismatch repair, evolution, networks, and other complex systems. Detailed descriptions can be found at our website at http://www.cmol.nbi.dk. The center is closely associated to local biology labs working with single cell imaging, dynamics of protein expression and implementation of regulatory circuits in E.coli. There are 2 positions available, of which one is associated to modeling mismatch repair in E. coli (European mm2m program).
The University wishes our staff to reflect the diversity of society and thus welcomes applictions from all qualified candidates regardless of personal background.
